Just crap

I’m proud to say that this is the first time that I have participated in my country’s democratic process. Why haven’t I ever voted before? The best answer that I can come up would have to be apathy. I really didn’t care who was in office before now. So why did I suddenly decide to register to vote two months ago? I finally came to the realization that my right to vote is a gift handed down to me. A gift paid for by countless men and women who sacrificed themselves to preserve our rights and freedoms as Americans. I can only hope that my vote make a difference, but as with everything there are winners and there are loosers. I have a feeling this election will be just the same as it was four years ago. We will just have to keep watching the TV this evening and keep our thumbs crossed that everyone remains sane and cool headed as the polls close and the results are announced to the world.
